| The in-depth report which rose in the 80s last century has been an important means for the media to strength its competition and influence now. China Youth Daily has the great tradition in in-depth reports, and has delivered large amount of writings with far-reaching influence. The Special Report is a page layout of in-depth reports which was introduced in July 2004 by China Youth Daily and has gained the impact of the readers and the media. This dissertation will make an overall case study on The Special Report, that is, analyzing the content, reporting style, editing and summing up the characteristic of The Special Report and its success in order to provide reference for other newspapers and magazines. |
