Customer Segmentation is segmenting the customers into several different colonies according to some standard. The paper brings forward different telecom customer segmentation methods, based on data warehouse and data mining, and establishs customer models, according to different methods, the moehod based on Statistic and the mothed based on clustering. The models can prepar for product design and product evaluation.First of all, the paper introduces the basic theories of telecom customer segmentation. Then through describing the phases business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, based on cross industry standard process for data mining, expound the process of customer segmentation models, and according to different motheds setting up different models and then comparing and evaluating them. After validate the practical data, we can conclude that the customer segmentation methods are practical to telecom customer segmentation. After introducing the system of feeset analysis and management (FAMS), the author describe one subsystem of FAMS, the system of customer segmentation, designing the systematic structure of telecom customer segmentation system, and realizing the three main modules of the system: data preparative, customer segmentation, defending and tracking modules, realize the automatization of customer segmentation.The models enrich the customer segmentation motheds. It develops the customer segmentation theories. Through the ayalysis and research of telecom customer segmentation, the paper supply the telecom enterprise with groundwork on product designing and exploiting the new markets.
