Since the reorganization of the telecommunications industry in China, the market pattern of several operators has been gradually formed. The continuously improvement of technology brings the fierce competition among the telecommunication industry. The requirements and consumptive behaviors of customers must be the primarily considered in the development of enterprise. If not, the major business opportunities would be lost, making the loss of business. Since the depth of 3G markets and the beginning of the commercialization of 4G, the competition of telecommunication industry is more drastic than before, and the competition form has been quietly changed. The pattern of development of the enterprises has been changed from product centric mode to the customer centric mode. In fact, the market for telecommunication industry has been approaching saturation. It is important for telecommunication industry to think how to retain existing customers and develop new customers, and increase the benefit of enterprise.In this thesis, the theories of data warehouse, data mining technology and customer relationship management are introduced,and the telecom customer segmentation theory model based on the data warehouse is built,then the design and implementation of Mianyang mobile corporation CRM system are also researched. The author’s main research contents and contributions are involved in several aspects as follows:Firstly, the Customer segmentation theory is elaborated in detail after analyzing the market competition of telecommunication industry. In addition, the telecommunication industry segmentation theory is also analyzed including the necessity,method,and the application status, and so on.Secondly, the related theories of data warehouse and data mining are discussed in detail, including the production, development, algorithms,tools,and so on. The relationship of data warehouse and data mining is also researched, and in addition, the application of data mining and data warehouse in the telecommunications industry is further proposed.Thirdly, through the application research about data warehouse technology in telecom industry, the customer segmentation model is built based on the data warehouse. And the model is analyzed and solved based on the CRISP-DM method.Fourthly, the production, development and main functions of customer relationship management system are introduced in detail. The issues related to customer relationship management is further researched,and the general framework of customer relationship management system is built up.Finally, aiming at the problems existing in the CRM system of Mianyang mobile corporation,the new CRM system is designed which is suitable for the actual situation. And then the actual examples used in the CRM system are analyzed. All the Modeling and analysis provide certain supports for the customer management and Market development of Mianyang mobile corporation.The core of this thesis is that according to the related theory and algorithm in data mining, the corresponding system architecture is designed and the customer segmentation model is built based on the data warehouse. In addition, the establishment, algorithm, and the results of the model are carefully analyzed. And then, further consideration of the actual situation of Mianyang mobile corporation, the corresponding CRM system is designed. Furthermore, some references of operation strategies for the operators are proposed.
