In the 21st century, with the increasing development of globalization, international communication has become more frequent and important. Such international communication is actually a special intercultural communication. The theory of"Global Village"put forward by a Canadian scholar McLuhan who studies mass communication last century, is virtually coming into a being. However, in fact, the dream of"Global Village"has not been fulfilled by people from around the world. The neighbors in the big village do not communicate quite well, because different people have different culture backgrounds. The difference among diverse cultures hinders the international communication. For the time being, the intercultural elements of international communication have aroused the interest of the researchers studying international communication. This thesis mainly discusses on English-language newspapers, one of our nations international communication's Medias, from the perspective of cross-culture. In order to run China's English-language newspapers better and bring about more effective communications of Chinese news in overseas regions, it is a highly important task to conduct a solid research on China's English-language newspapers, to analyze their strength and weakness in disseminating domestic news worldwide and to find ways for future development in the globalization age.
