Researching And Innovating Experiments Of Process Control And Design Of Teaching Device

Process control is a subject based on experiments, which has a vital status in automation education, even the whole scientific education. How to carry through the process control experimental education is always a key problem. From the developing point of control study itself which is full of scientific exploring activities, it is by all means the trend that we put research experiment in practice abroad in the process of education.This paper presents the problem to how to form the teaching system of research process control experiment and design of new type of process control teaching device in the basis of the analysis of the status of process control experiment in and abroad ,study on the experimental theory correlative and the opening experiment teaching practice of Automation department of Wuhan university of technology.The process control researching and innovating experiments is discussed in this paper including definition, sense, theoretical gist, target, principle and condition in terms of the education theory and research production. According to the need of curricula, the experiments are divided into three different levels: basic validating, synthesis validating and independence innovating experiment.The system is made of three pars: the physical model, the master and lower-computers. The serial communication between lower-computer and master-computer is based on Modbus communication protocols with the RS-232 interface.Physical mode is a minitype multiple-parameters control platform called cyclone container warm-up model made in automation department of Wuhan University of technology. ADuC841 is the kernel of lower-computer; most of its functions are used.LabVIEW7.1 is a kind of industry virtual instruments used in Mater-computer, which controls the lower-computer and cyclone container warm-up model, at the same time collects, displays, analyzes the dates from them.The teaching device and means has been used in measurement and control experiment teaching process in Wuhan University of technology.
