Currently, the technique of flow measurement was demanded higher and higher along with the development of the industrial production and the increasingly advancement of people's standard of living. Not only the accuracy and stability of measurement need to be enhanced in the procedure control domain of the industrial production, but also the accuracy,the measure range,the power supply consumption and the manufacture cost of the cold water,the hot water and the gas measurement were demanded higher too. Although the flow measurement technique was changing quickly and the many different kinds of flow-meter have been invented one after the other in order to adapt multi-purpose, some questions difficult to overcome have still existed not only in the traditional mechanical measurement but also in the electronic measurement. If the stability,the reliability and the low power supply consumption could be guaranteed and at the same time the measurement precision could be advanced effectively in the measure process, it would bring more benefits and conveniences to industrial production and people's daily life.Whereas the reasons above had mentioned, the water meter as an example had been taken in this paper, the nonmagnetic scan technique had been applied in the flow measurement system, and a few aspects about the important techniques and the design of software and hardware had been researched hereinafter.The total design project was researched based on the design requirement of system. The embedded technique,nonmagnetic scan technique and tiny flow measurement technique were applied synthetically in this system, so the system had traits of accurate measure,antimagnetic interference,leak-proof function, also, the better stability and more wide measure range had been guaranteed.In the project, the embedded microprocessor MSP430FW427 would be used as master-control chip, it would make for the realization of hardware system of flow measure, including exploiting and designing hardware platform,the power supply management circuit,valve drive circuit,LCD display circuit and nonmagnetic non-contact sensor.In the process of completing the software design, the total software design project of flow measurement system was put forward by considering practical application background of flow measurement. In order to guarantee the real time disposing ability and reliability,stability of total system, the freestanding modularization method from peak to bottom was adopted; each of the software functional modules including data collection,state processing,data storage, data display and power supply management was accomplished combining with the design thoughts of multi-thread and message queue in multitask operating system, PSM of scan interface was researched on arithmetic also.The conclusion could be obtained after actually testing, if nonmagnetic scan technique was applied in the flow measurement system, the design demand could be satisfied, the limitation of traditional measure instrument that the accurate measure could not be realized would be solved in tiny flow state, also the system had better anti-jamming capability and stably working performance.
