In the course of applying the information technology to manufacture enterprise, monitor system for production procedure will bring the more and more important effects into controlling the product quality. There would be errors caused by worker's mistakes in an assembly line. It will produce products with defects. Appropriately applying the error-proofing theory to process monitor system may realize the target of "product without defects" effectively. This paper presents the design and implementation of monitor system for error-proofing in the assembly line of automobile parts. Three technologies are adopted in the system: barcode identification, embedded system and data communication.In this paper, following works will be presented.1. According to demand analysis of the assembly line, we design the scheme for the purpose of error-proofing, including the design of the hardware and software.2. Design and implementation data acquisition terminal used to collect process data of the assembly line. The terminal is a kind of MCU system specific for industrial application. The terminal has strong function of anti-interference. The machine was controlled by terminal to produce good product.3. To ensure the accuracy of data transmission, a practical communication protocol is devised and CRC was used as the check.4. A device was designed to help the terminal acquire barcodes and process signals easily.5. Thesis presents the implementation of monitor software based on C/S model, using Delphi 6.0 and SQL Server 2000. Chain error-proofing has been achieved through error-proofing theory and shared real-time database.Tested for days, the system works normally and helps the workers to avoid mistakes. Under the monitoring of the system, the error and rework rate reduces from the previous 4~5%to the current 0%obviously. The efficiency of production of assembly line has been improved a lots.Finally, the thesis gives a summary of this paper and presents some advices to further researches.
