Research On Application Of UML In The Requirement Process

Requirements engineering is an important branch of software engineering. The research fields of requirements engineering include two aspects: requirement development and requirement management. Requirement development includes four phases: requirement elicitation, requirement determination, forming software requirement specification, requirement verification. Requirements process is a kind of structural function to educe , validate and maintain requirement documents.UML (Unified Modeling Language) is a language to describe, visualize, structure software system and carry through business modeling. This dissertation researches implement technology and instance validation mostly of UML which is applied in requirements process. There are several aspects which this dissertation does as fallows:1. This dissertation researches and analyses method and technology that relates to describ requirement content in requirement process at present.2. This dissertation researches and analyses symbol and technology of UML that relates to describ requirement content in requirement process,in addition to, expand and supplement symbol and technology of UML.This makes it fit to be applied in requirements process.3. This dissertation places emphasis on how to process requirement elicitation, and how to process requirement determination with UML, as well as how to describe software requirement specification in requirements process using the sign and technology of UML, others of requirements process is stated summarily.4. This dissertation expounds instance for application of UML in requirement process.By means of the requirement process for Business Process Management System, this dissertation validates feasibility for application of UML in requirement process.The research project of this dissertation, can form detailed software requirement specification described by the sign and technology of UML. The software requirement specification can transform system abstract model, and alleviate workload of deviser accordingly, it is beneficial to improve efficiency of the software development.
