Spatial Data Management Platform Based On ArcObjects

Since 1980s, with the development of national informatization, geographic information systems have been widely used in many fields, especially in the field of spatial data management, which has made great progress, but its application in specific units is relatively weak.Based on the learning relevant theories and techniques of spatial data management and component of GIS, component-based GIS principles and techniques have been discussed. GIS is applied in spatial data management system. According to the practical needs of Lanzhou Institute of Mapping, functional modules, such as data loading, graphics and inquiries, are developed, and the problems of the application of GIS in spatial data management system are solved. The integrated spatial data management platform in C/S (client/server) developing module was developed by using ArcObjects platform and VisualC++ and visiting Oracle 9i background database through ArcSDE. This platform, which manages spatial data safely, effectively, enables customers to deploy data conveniently, readily.
