Preliminary Design And Implementation Of E-Learning Behavior Collection And Integration Based On Web Services

Along with the rapid development of network technology, the network is becoming the communication platform for people, at the same time, the distance learning also gradually becomes the popular learning style, and the research to the network distance learning also becomes the hot spot. But research on the learners' learning behavior under the network condition is still unsatisfactory actually, the same to network learning behavior collection.This thesis has realized E-Learning Behavior Collection and Integration initially to collect learners' learning behavior: The visited pages, the time when to start, the durative time, IP address, the visited times, the cited pages of visited pages etc.. E-Learning Behavior Collection is carried on in the server part. Because the Web Log can record many learners' visiting information automaticaly, and there are some fileds to record the Cookie of client side specially, so the datasource of EBCI is Web log of the server side (Web Log and it's mining will be discussed in detail in second chapter), and how to gather the learning behaviors of client side is introduced simply relatively.To avoid resources waste and simultaneously to truly realize resources sharing, EBCI is based on the Web Services. Web Service is based on XML, Platform irrelevant and operating system irrelevant. It can truly realize the cross platform data and service sharing. EBCI Web Services has realized web methods: log reading, data cleaning, user recognition, session recognition and so on. Users can directly transfer it like their assemble without understanding the details realized. They can obtain the data which needed after inputting portal parameter.The thesis gave a test example at last, to introduce how to use EBCI and summarize the flaws of EBCI.
