With the development of e-learning, as well as the impact of Web2.0user-centric concept, e-learning platform, the supporting environment of e-learning, is moving in the direction of the individuation, intelligence, and collaboration, which mainly manifested in the demand for personalized service, intelligent feedback on learners’online learning state, and information sharing between e-learning platforms. To a certain extent, learners’ online learning behaviors reflect their learning styles and preferences, meanwhile make up for the lack of learning process evaluation caused by the characteristics of spatial and temporal separation between teachers and students in e-learning. How to achieve the collection and sharing of learner behavior information becomes a hot research subject. At present, the collection and analysis of e-learning behavior research focuses on the mining of web server logs. However, towards data derived from web logs, there are some limitations:user identification, session identification and information content. In addition, because of the differences in structure and function of each e-learning platform, there are some difficulties in learner characteristics information sharing. According to this situation, relying on2010Ministry of Education, Humanities and Social Science Research Planning Fund:e-Learning Behavior Modeling and Application Research (Grant No.10YJA880110), based on hierarchy characteristic of behavior, this paper firstly proposes a model called E-Learning Behavior Collection (ELBC), the model makes reference to CELTS and is characterized by operability, sharing-ability and reusability; then, on the basis of the pre-existing project experience, a general e-learning behavior collection module integrated into the e-learning platform is designed and realized, the module does not rely on web logs as a data source, but to write a collection program by using client script language, receive and process behavior data using Server Method called by AJAX, store data to independent database, meanwhile provide supportive of XML format files export, to facilitate data sharing between e-learning platforms; at the end, we make a preliminary test of validity verification of e-learning behavior collection module running on the e-learning platform of Central China Normal University Classic Course "Microcomputer Principle"...
