Until now, because Moore Law continuously plays the role in the Integrated Circuit developmenting course, the chip's integration inceasingly enhances, the function is day by day complex, SoC is typical representative of them. It while takes to which we greatly facilitates, also proposes the challenge to the traditional design methodology. Platform-Based-Design(PBD) is the quite popular one of the present SoC design method, it is the tendency of the SoC design methodology.PBD can be divided into two stages:platform design and application of platform,so the foundation of PBD is owning a platform.An important aspect of PBD is design of On-Chip Bus(OCB),because now OCB is generally used in the SoC design. On the other hand,a major job of PBD is integrate or delete IP core.So we can see,design of OCB and integration of IP core have significant count on the PBD.This dissertation discusses PBD methodoloyg, and researches on design of OCB and integration of IP core. Moreover, considering the challenge of SoC verifivation, a verification environment is also designed to improve verification efficiency.The main work and achievement are as follows:1. PBD methodoloyg is analyzed,including the concept of SoC platform,the design flow of PBD,the interconnection mechanism of the SoC platform,also summary good and bad points of PBD.2. Construct a SoC platform,mainly discuss the design process of bus bridge module. This module use the parameterized design thought,esay to integrate IP core on peripheral bus.3. Analyze the functional verificationn method and the basic flow of it,and finish the construction of vefication platform based on four points: structure of the platform,organization and management of the data,design of verifivation IP and design of system scripts.This platform also adapts to verification of the SoC use of this On-Chip bus.4. Summary the problem of IP core integration and the methods of it ,also use this method finish the integration IIC module to IPBUS,and verified the correctness of it's interface.Through research and practice on above contents, on one hand, accumulate experience of design of OCB and IP integration, on the other hand, laid the foundation of application of PBD.
