Mobile phone emerged as a representative product affecting people's way of living, witnessed a rapid development in recent years with the advancement of new technology and new material, and has become a daily necessity in all aspects of life. But domestically, mobile phone designers usually overlook the harmony between the product and the user---overstress the appearance of the product, the visual stimulus of interactive interface and rarely consider the design from the perspective of psychological requirements, operation habits and environmental and cultural background. Thus, the paper discusses how to design mobile phone according to user's model theory through analysis of users' visual psychology and behavioral features. The author analyzes user's model theory and meanwhile the relation between implementation model, design model and user's model is analyzed. Based on this, commonly-used design models are generalized into three categories: self-centered design, market user's model and hypothetical design. With regard to existing problems in mobile phone design, the author concludes that the essence of mobile phone design is to start with the discussion of human nature, and the commonality of human cognition and behaviors according to human psychological and physiological characteristics, then generalize design principles and methods, and finally seek the harmony between the product and the user.In terms of design principles and methods, the paper bases the study of visibility principle of mobile phone design on user's visual capacity, and brings out the hierarchal concept of visibility. Meanwhile, the paper studies on the basis of Gestalt Psychology human visual entirety effect and matching principle in design, and discusses the effect and application of presupposed use, constraint factors and users' habits and feedbacks as well as how to balance them against users' preference. Finally, the author studies users' needs, centering on picture editing function of mobile phones, puts forward mental models for picture-editing and devises a set of picture-editing interface based on the principle. In the end, features of human cognition and behaviors are concluded through procedure tests and user interviews. The design scheme proposed in the paper reflects the harmony between mobile phone and user, which may serve as referable paradigm for present mobile phone design.
