Today, mobile phones play an important role in people's life.one of the main concerns when we use mobile phones is how the user interfaces in these devices works and what characteristics are important in creating a good user interface. Base on the development of MAGNIFY project in Nokia Research Center (NRC) UI/UX group. A solution which uses the theory of'adaptive user interface'in software engineering for creating better user interfaces in mobile phone is proposed. It takes full advantage of traditional user interface development model to creat adaptive user interfaces in MAGNIFY project with fully concern on user context and sensor-based context in concept level, logicl level and present level of the model. A new model base on the developmet process of MAGNIFY project was proposed that could be a reference for the future design study.Generally believed that Adaptive User Interface (AUI) can better meet usability goals and improves user experience by collecting context information to adapt to the environment and individual user. Also,AUI has been discussed and applyed in software engineering & desktop applications, but rarely concerns mobile contexts. This paper also discusses how to develop adaptive user interface in mobile phone, and create a model to bring the adaption concept into reality in the context of mobility. Also,Physical level of user interface is various according to variety of forms of mobile phone, and the traditional user interface rarely concern the physical level nor the relationship between physical level and software leve. This paper takes physical level of use interface into the process of creating adaptive user interface.
