The Rod Finish-Rolling Line Fault Diagnosis Expert System

Developing with the modern science and technology promptness, the Rod Finish-Rolling System in Iron and Steel processing Industry is developing rapidly toward Large-scale-rization, complication, systematization and automation. The Development brings forward requests to the safe reliability of Steel Rolling System more strictly. Therefore, Rod Finish-Rolling Line's process of production of fault detect and diagnose is regarded more highly by people.The characteristic of Rod Finish-Rolling line's process of production has been studied mainly in this paper, the fault diagnosis expert system who is used for Rod Finish-Rolling line has been developed. The application of fault diagnostic expert system that is used for the Rod Finish-Rolling line will play the positive role on safety of important equipment, the increase of the equipment utilized rate, the decrease of the time of non-plan quit unit. The fundamental theory of expert system and fault diagnose technology have been introduced first. And then the design plan of fault diagnostic expert system has been brought forward based on Scene handicraft condition and problem. We build the base of expert system according to the feature of Rod Finish-Rolling system, The knowledge expression adopt creation style regulation representation. The characteristics of this fault diagnosis expert system are :1) In order to improve the efficiency of diagnose, we used distributing expert system.2) We analyse the factor affecting expert system reasoning efficiency concretely, and bring forward the control tactics which mix the forward direction speculate under the control of tactics and remove conflict tactics.3) Specifically aiming at the characteristic of complicated malfunction cause in Rod Finish-Rolling line, the inexactitude speculate algorithm being suitable for Rod Finish-Rolling system have brought forward, the on-line fault Diagnoses use for the Finish-Rolling system have been realized.4) The off-line diagnose system which has been established make the fault diagnostic range of expert system richer and diagnosing basis more broadly. The system is programmed by using EMbedded Visual C++4.0 language and Access Database .The on-line character of the diagnosis system is achieved by ODBC technique among operator station's I/0 database. Moreover, the system has a transparentex plain structure and friendly man-machine interface.The expert system already applies to some iron and steel enterprise. Actual run result indicates that the diagnostic system has the fine function of diagnosis, outstanding general availability and opens nature and extensible.
