Intelligent diagnosis technology is the integration of neural network technology, expert system technology and database technology, which is the result of development of science and technology. Making full use of it can diagnose faults effectively, guarantee the normal work and increase the productivity. It can also prevent the blindness of diagnosis and make the managements more normative. So it has significant benefit on mill rolling and even on the metallurgy industry.Firstly this paper introduces domestic and overseas condition of intelligent diagnosis. Neural Network and Expert System are the two important factions in Artificial Intelligence. Especially in the area of Fault Diagnosis, the application of this technology has more practical significance. Secondly, the system analysis of the software is created to ensure the requirement of function and technique. Based on it the frame of this system and the functions of every module are set up accordingly. Thirdly, the key technologies of intelligent diagnosis are researched carefully in this paper, which are the network & algorithm of NN and the knowledge express & rational mechanism of ES.As for the programming, a Client/Server module is adopted to support the intranet of enterprise. The frame and the function are programmed by the Object-Oriented Language of Delphi based on the database of Microsoft SQL Server. Neural Network's parameters, which are trained with historical data came from locale, are refined to fit the reality.At last, this system is summered and prospected in the paper.
