The Research Of The Cultural Property Of Archives

There are countless ties between archives and culture, as it has been a necessary part of culture. The culture of archives is not only the fundament of human culture, but also an important part of the social culture. The culture of archives faces both opportunities and changes with the fast development of the socialism culture. Some problems have arisen with regard to the guidelines of archives, for instance, what are the basic concepts of archives culture? How to utilize and develop the cultural properties of archives fully under current circumstances? All these questions are closely related to the overall blueprint of our country's cultural construction.This paper goes into the several essential points of archives from the perspective of culture study, including the cultural properties of archives culture, and their concepts, utilization and development. The approaches of contrastive analysis and case study are employed here to expatiate the relative theories of archives culture with both historical experiences and field cases from home and abroad. There are several purposes of my study: first, to illuminate the changes in reality through the explanation of certain facts; second, to initiate the theoretical discussion of related fields and develop the theories to practical methods which can be put into use in the near future.This paper is composed of three parts: introduction, main text and conclusion. The main text is further divided into four sections:Part one: the concept of the cultural property of archives, which is illustrated through the explanation of the conceptions of archives and culture. I am trying to conclude the cultural connotation of archives culture, as well as the significance of my study.Part two: the embodiment of the cultural property of archives, which lies not only in the relationship between culture and archives but also in the consecutive steps of archives conduction, even in the personnel and the other archives facilities. With the analysis of the cultural connotation of archives culture and the large amount of historical facts, I am trying to conclude that in certain sense, archives are be thought of as culture and vice versa.Part three: the utilization of the cultural property of archives. Nowadays Archives is the main embodiment of archives culture, which is essential both to its utilization. Archives may exert this culture on the following three aspects, to develop its function of serving the society, to alternate from the traditional utilization to the modernized utilization and to set an image of culture services.Part four: the development of the cultural property of archives. This is the most innovative part of my study. We must add new attributes to both the theories and applications of archives study so as to maintain its vitality. The industrialization of archives has already on its way, which has raised a thought-provoking question for us as to the causes and the employment of such a trend. The answer to all this questions must benefit the society a lot in the near future.Archives are the mother of culture; on the other hand, it is also the valuable heritage of culture. To know and develop archives from the viewpoint of culture is good to the social influence and social value of archives.
