This dissertation mainly discusses the design and synthesis of ternary ECL circuits with computer aided, and a method of sub-gate level ECL circuits synthesis based on the Post Algebra is proposed, as well as the algorithm of switch level ECL circuits design characterised by the Boundary_addition-Minimization framwork based on its physical princeple.To begin with , after analysing its principle and electric characteristic, we established the mathematical model and the synthesizable circuit model of ECL circuits. Then we suggested two methods of multi_velued logic circuits design:one called algebraic simplification mapping gate network method,and the other called circuit analysing guiding function structure method.Subsequently, we proposed the minimization algorithm of ternary logic functions in lattic algebra, under the conditions of complementary inputs and outputs, and considering literal_disapper simplifiation as well as viriahle_disappear simplifiation. Based on it we realized its high efficient synthesis on ECL circuits at nearly switch level.Finally, as we have analyzied the principle of ECL circuits and established its synthesis model, and pointed out that signals in ECL circuits are represented by both the current which is easy to add or subtract and the voltage which is easy to compare, then we researched the matrix repressentation of ternary logic functions, its minimization and circuit synthesis under the so called Boundary_addition-Minimization algebraic system, and proposed the algorithm of switch level ECL circuits design.
