Due to the support of database technology, software technique and network technique, process simulation had become a interdisciplinary subject and developed quickly in past 20 years. By the use of flowsheeting technique, the efficiency of various optimization methods for enterprise production and management can be showed in the simulation results, without disturbing the production process. And so, process simulation has widely used in the Integrated Automation in Process Industry recently.On the background of oil refinery, this thesis puts forward a modeling method for material flow model with multi-production modes. And in this work, by using of MATLAB/SIMULINK toolkit and ORACLE database software, a material flow simulation system is constructed correspondingly. Being considered as a verification platform of various optimization methods in production process, the simulation system is helpful for R&D of module in MES and providing some guidelines of planning and scheduling optimization. In this system, a data model is built to realize database design on the basis of research needs. The main contents of this thesis are as follows: In chapter 1, Based on the review of process simulation and Integrated Automation in Process Industry, the idea of petroleum process model with multi-production modes is proposed.In chapter 2, Based on the oil production process, a framework of material flow simulating model is proposed. Under this framework, the modeling principles of unit models and process model with multi-production modes are stated in detail. On the basis of process model with multi-production modes, process simulation strategies in different time scale are described particularly.In chapter 3, According to the modeling principles, the designing and implementing procedure of oil process simulation system is described in detail. And he database designing procedure is given.In chapter 4, An application of material flow simulation system in an oil refinery is given, and the simulation result demonstrates the feasibility and efficiency of multi-productionmodes simulation system.In chapter 5, the paper is concluded with a summary and prospect of future researches.
