This paper is mainly about the operational principle, system architecture and hardware/software implementation of an infrared amplifier tester which is used to evaluate the performance of certain satellite amplifier. The evaluation process includes: analog signal input test, supply source performance evaluation, output sampling test and data recovery test. By adopting the latest virtual instrument data sampling technology and RS-485 net communication technology, the author intelligentize the function control and high-speed data sampling process. FGPA and high-speed single chip computer are used to implement the analog signal generation circuit which can independently fulfill routine functional test of the infrared amplifier; meanwhile, the high-speed data sampling system is built with PCI9812A 12-bit high-speed sampling card. Also, LabView and Visual C++ 6.0 are combined to realize the software part of the high-speed sampling module which can accomplish output sampling, display and storage all together. Proven by functional verification, the infrared amplifier tester is very secure, stable, accurate, sensitive and well-applicable.The main tasks the author performs are: project preliminary investigation, project scheme planning, control/communication platform design, analog signal-source generator design, digital timing controller design and virtual instrument software design. |
