With the rapid development of IT and the deep information construction of postal companies, a huge number of consumers' important data are collected from the application systems such as banking, remitting, selling of newspapers and magazines, package delivery, database of name and address, commercial letters and electronic business. These data play an critical role in postal companies. Making good use of these data and finding the changes of market in time from these data , the postal companies can make great progress. It is of crucial need for the companies to change the application data into useful consumer information. The Executive Officers not only use IT to solve basic data processing, but also to application of decision support. Several technologies such as Data Warehouse, OLAP and Data Mining are used in a CRM Application System which can resolve those problems in the postal companies.The topic is from a project of postal science and technology development in Shaanxi Province . Its project number is SX-K200301 and it had been accepted by the Science Committee of Shaanxi Post Office in September 2005 .The author researches on the basic conception and theory of Data Warehouse, OLAP and Data Mining during the applying of the project. The author also concentrates on the cooperation of those technologies to meet the needs of decision support, complete the development course of the CRM System and arrange of CRM System in postal companies.
