The object of design evaluation is product .It aim at improving design level. Through the evaluate and decision to the project feature, it can help designer to design product .This paper stems from the project of National High Technology Research and Development Program of China for CIMS, named "Three-Dimensional Digitalized Design Special System And Toolset for Industry Typical Products (No.2002AA411030)", it research and inquire into theory, methods concerned of decision analyses and decision support that are related to product design evaluate.Analyzing the theory and toolset of product design evaluation, the paper introduce DSS (Decision Support System) into design evaluate area. Based on researching structure and organization of DSS, linking design evaluation feature. The paper adopts the system methods of Object Oriented Analyzing and use ideological system of Group Decision to structure GDSS frame. Relying on Web, the author builds the product design evaluation GDSS base on network in order to ensure Coordination, adaptability and openness of system and help expert to decide, improve design level.The design evaluation refers to the ration information and qualitative information such as ergonomics, color and shape. The evaluation methods have different connotation and mechanism .so the paper research these evaluation problems and methods, Sort them, build evaluation problems generating base and evaluation problems solving base, so as to help decision maker evaluate product design project according to feature and preference themself ,and deal with group decision data by consistency to ensure the result scientific and credible.The research on GDSS improving the product design evaluation methods and theory .The web GDSS bring values into assisting decision and improving design level.
