Data acquisition, real-time data recording and data analysis of array signal is essential in the R&D of underwater acoustic products and experiment outside the laboratary. Playing back the acquisition data is necessary sometime, which recured the real world in the laboratory. Developping a new data acquisition and analysis system based on auto test technology of new generation is significative for underwater acoustic research and experiments. Based on commercial off-the-shelf VXI bus and PXI bus equipments, the dissertation developed a new system in the background of underwater acoustic application, which acquires the array signal data, playing back and analysing the acquisition data. The main work and achievements are summarized as follows:(1) The characteristic of VXI test system, mechanical framework, electrical speciality and communication between instruments are discussed. A new 32-channel 196KSa/sec array signal data acquisition and recording was developed based on VXI bus modules, the primary hardware archertecture and instrument resource of HP E1433A and HP 1562E were studied thoroughly.(2) The VXI Plug&Play instrument driver of Automatic Test System, software development envirment LabWindows/CVI and software archertecture of the array signal data acquisition based on VXI bus were discussed, and then the software programming of input channel configuration, trigger configuration, acquisition configuration and real-time data recording were analysed thoroughly.(3) Playing back the acquisition data was discussed based on Underwater Target Simulator of PXI, which recured the scene of experiment. The hardware integration of PXI bus, software archertecture of data playing back and important instrument resource programming were studied.(4) Software development of underwater acoustic array signal processing was studied based on uniform linary array. The universal beam former of linary array, targets detector was designed; high-resolution direction of arrival estimation of MUSIC and space smoothing was applied.(5) Design experiment for debugging and evaluating the function of system.
