Closed-end hopper is a key equipment among the reforming catalyst continuous regeneration reforming Unit. It carries catalyst from upside low pressure section to down high pressure section. pneumatic controlled closed-end hopper carries catalyst by the change of the gas pressure in the hopper. It controls the flow of catalyst by changing the maintain time of the gas pressure in the hopper. It realizes the no valve feeding catalyst。Pneumatic closed-end hopper is an application for gas-solid hydrokinetics. The hopper is simple in configuration and is not exigent for valve. It is not much to invest in the hopper, but it needs complicated logic control system to support. The study applies the PLC to the control system of closed-end hopper. One of the aims is to carry the grain of catalyst from low pressure section to high pressure section and avoid using valve. So it can realize to feed catalyst by complicated control system without valve. and solves the problems that wear and tear very seriously between the valve and catalyst because the valve was opened or closed continually。The another aim is to assure the pressure to up and down stream equipment is less than 5kpa during the process of carrying catalyst.The successful exploitation of pneumatic closed-end hopper would found firm technology foundation for the catalyst continuous regeneration reforming technology.
