Research On Virtual Process Control Experimental System

Experiment has been paid more and more attention in current scientific research and education.This paper focuses on how to use network and computer technology to break through the traditional experiment methods with support of powerful function of communication and computation.This paper first introduces the research background, the basic process and key problem of virtual laboratory of process control. After setting up the basic structure of web-based virtual laboratory, we illustrate the level control system and the temperature control system in detail. And then we discuss the problem of resource sharing, cooperation in experiment and remote education. Finally, we show the prospect of development of this system.We connect four level control experiment systems with eight temperature control experiment systems using network technology. By replacing the analog instrument with software, resource sharing is realized and we could monitor and control all equipment. So this virtual laboratory realizes resource sharing and computer supports cooperative work (CSCW) which contain the advanced control theory and control method.
