At present, being restricted by time, place and equipments and contents, the traditional laboratory can not meet the needs of practice teaching. In order to solve this problem, network virtual laboratory emerges as the times require. By entering the network virtual laboratory through the campus network or Internet with a computer, experimenters can do virtual simulation experiments, view simulation processes, obtain simulation results and submit experiment reports and so on. Network virtual laboratory provides a guarantee for the improvement of the practice teaching quality.With the rapid development of automation technology, the number of automation system engineer has risen sharply. The work about Automation System Engineer Accreditation (ASEA) must be vigorously developed in order to solve the problem of automation system engineer qualifications. Process control system is the indispensable professional knowledge for ASEA examination. The "Process Control System" network virtual laboratory provides a good study platform for ASAE training.The "Process Control System" network virtual laboratory includes three parts:the network virtual experiment subsystem of "Process Control System" course, the typical industrial process control system and ship process control system.The virtual laboratory is designed and developed from the following aspects in this thesis:(1) The platform of the "Process Control System" network virtual laboratory system is accomplished. In this platform, the Browser/Server (B/S) structure is adopted. The communication between MATLAB and browser is implemented through Matlab Web Server and IIS (Internet Information Services). The interface of network virtual laboratory is developed by using web programming technology. And the experiments process is simulated by Flash animations.(2) The network virtual experiment system of three-tank liquid level control is developed and designed. The interface of this system is developed, and the mathematic model of three-tank system is established. PID control algorithms and fuzzy-PID control algorithms are designed and applied into this system. (3) The network virtual experiment system of ship fuel oil viscosity control is developed and designed. The interface of this system is developed, and the mathematic model of fuel oil viscosity system is established. PID control algorithms and fuzzy control algorithms are designed and applied into this system.Now the platform of "Process Control System" network virtual laboratory system has accomplished. It works well and can meet the design requirements.
