Implement And Application To OLAP Decision Support System Based WEB

With the extend of the manufacture scale, the severe competition round the markets, extracting data from the mass and draw decision-marketing strategies are getting more and more important. With the development of communication technology, aim at this problems it put forward a settle way include data warehouse,On-Line Analytical Processing(OLAP),Decision Support System(DSS) and so on techniques.Data warehouse is the data collection that are subject oriented,integrated,non-volatile,and time variant used for the purpose to enhance management's ability to make decisions. OLAP, an advanced DSS tool, is developing rapidly during the recent decades. With OLAP, users can make deep investigation of business data, find the business tendency and abnormality, get important details and make better understanding of rules of their business behaviors, and it can support decision-marketing. Decision Support System, as a new phase of MIS, has the ability of data processing and amount calculating, and it comes to the higher level of assisting managers in decision making.In this thesis, we introduce DSS,data warehouse,OLAP technology, and we make a study of the data warehouse and OLAP technology, put forward a settle project to requirement of manufacturing enterprise DSS. Build data warehouse in Microsoft SQL Server, use Microsoft OLAP Server as OLAP engine, use Microsoft Analysis Services establish multidimensional data aggregate, and combine JSP,Microsoft Office Web component and so on techniques to build front display tools, establish the OLAP DSS in the WEB.This article focuses to mid- and small-scale enterprise, try to develop a OLAP DSS which suits mid- and small-scale enterprise to use. The solution in this thesis possesses many merits such as low cost, good portability, flexible architecture and is easy to develop. It's applicable to the middle-sized and small-sized enterprises and has excellent market with further improvement in the future.
