With the development of modern technology, image sensors have been widely used in the military,scientific research,industry and agriculture and medical treatment. For the defects of these images, the need for real-time processing system is very urgent.In this report, a new method for the high-speed and low-power horizontal scanning signal generator which by use of DLL is offered. It can greatly reduce the power consumption of a CMOS image sensor. A new readout method for CMOS image sensors is proposed in the report. By using this method, an A/D converter with low sampling rate works well for the high speed applications, and this greatly reduces the power consumption and area occupations of the CMOS image sensors. This new structure of CMOS image sensors have great advantage in power consumption,chip area and performance. It can figure out various problems and to be industrialized. This technology will also have commercial value in visual communication of 3G technology which will be brought into effect soon.
