Research And Application Of The Digital Signatures Technology In PDM System

The usability enlargement of LAN, WAN and Internet has extremely promoted the transmission and storage of digital information. The digital-drawing will increasingly become a universal mode for design and development in enterprises, and the will take the place of manuscript checking pattern sooner of later. Compared with the traditional method, the advantage of digital signature is anti-forgery ability, anti-manipulation ability, anti-denial ability, security assurance and identity verification. It's inevitable that digital signature and identity verification will intervene in the intercommunion and coordinated working between compamys, subsidiary companys and departments. However, most available information system didn't provide enough support in digital signature, or unsuitable the practical security requirement. So, to design and develop an integrated digital signature subsystem in PDM may greately improve the security and verification mechanism, and create a reliable network working envirment which ensure the quick development of enterprise informationalization.This paper aimed at the shortcoming of product management system, deeply researched the relevant theory of digital signature and applied it in the work flow system of PDM. It's a fruitful practice with pertinency and creativity. The main work as following:(1) Summarized and analysed the developing status of manufacturing and PDM system all around the world. Base on the problems exposed in the enterprise information security, researched the possibility and significance of the digital signature technology applied in PDM system.(2) Researched the key technology of digital signature in application and designed an available method for PDM system. Discussed the method of PKI establishment and relevant legislation matter, analysed the problems might happen in digital signature application.(3) Designed and developed the digital signature subsystem on the base of TianGong PDM which developed by Mechanical Engineering department, Wuhan University of Technology, and had achieved a good result.
