Radio frequency IC card wides apply in much field because of its predominance. IC card readers play a very important role in Radio Frequency Identification Technology. The readers we are using is only fit for PC or local area network because of its RS232/RS485 or USB interface. This is hard to satisfy the requirement of IP network and application of IC card.The article bases on the background of Radio frequency IC card used in IP network. In this disquisition, The author studyed embedded network communication technology, TCP/IP ptotocol, Radio frequency IC technology, 32-bit MCU technology, embedded OS and software develop technology and Designed a IC card readers used in IP network. 32-bit MCU —SEP3203, RTL8019AS, ZLG500B is embedded in the IC card readers. The readers also has LCD display, keyboard and OS using uClinux. Design of software is based on Socket technology. Using the readers, the data of the Radio frequency IC card can be transmited through IP network. The readers come true the objective of the Radio frequency IC card readers used in IP network.The expansibility of the readers is wide because of the 32-bit MCU used in the system. The harvest can apply to intelligence sensor network, long-distance watch based on WEB, data collection based on network or aptitude home. The system provided with wide application.
