A Web Service Discovery Mechanism Based On Peer-to-Peer Network

Web Services technology has gained great attention. With more and more application of Web Services, people do more and more study on this technology.In practical application, the discovery of web services is an important issue because people cannot use web services if he cannot find it.In the same time, Peer to Peer system also gains great attention. With the technology, the network is used in more distributed way. In a pure Peer to Peer system, every peer take the same role, it can act as a provider or a consumer. In recent years, P2P technology has take an important position in people's daily life, and will take more effect on the future network.The convergence of web service and P2P technology is a direction of current study. In the thesis, a P2P based web services discovery mechanism was proposed. The mechanism was based on structured P2P network. In the thesis, a synset based DHT algorithm was proposed. Based on the current research of ontology mapping, a maping algorithm was proposed. With this algorithm, it is possible to match service based on heterogeneous ontology. A service match algorithm was also proposed based on the existing research. It took assumption and preconditon into account to make service matching more accurable.The thesis gave a sample implementation based on existing technology. The thesis gave the analyzation of the system performance. According the result, the system gained some impovement in response time, recall rate and coverage rate.
