Along with the development of Internet technology and large-scale popularization of network, web service has become a more and more important media means. How to publication and discovery the huge number of web services is the key problems to solve. The methods current used in web service discovery are mainly centralized network structure, that is, through the registration center for service registration and discovery. But along with the increase of registered services can lead to registration center the problems of load and single point failure. Meanwhile, distributed service discovery solves the problems such as load imbalance and so on, but so distributed network led to the service discovery efficiency low and network congestion problem of no objective searching.In view of the existing shortcomings of efficiency bottleneck, single point failure, and scalability in the current web service discovery. Firstly, this paper proposes a framework basing on P2P network for service discovery, and it briefly introduces the every part of the process framework. Secondly, this paper proposes a hybrid P2P network JXord that combines JXTA and Chord for semantic web service discovery. Its structure has two layers, the upper layer uses the Chord protocol and the underlying layer uses the grouping idea of JXTA. The proposed hybrid P2P network model has distributed-centralized service discovery characteristics. Compared with the centralized service discovery, it has the advantage of load balance of the distributed service publication structure. And compared with the distributed P2P network structure, it has the high efficiency of service discovery, easy maintenance, and the simple upper network structure with small scale. Thirdly, on this basis, this paper proposals a semantic web service publication and discovery algorithm basing on the hybrid P2P network model JXord. Through the web service belongs to the different semantic category, which maps to an equal group in JXord network. In other words, a registration center is responsible for maintenance and management of the services of a kind of semantic category. And all service registration centers are organized through the improved-Chord protocol for searching service, which can realize the rapid positioning and discovery of web services. In the end, this paper makes experiment of the hybrid P2P network and compared with traditional Chord protocol. And the experimental results show that the performance of JXord network proposed in this paper for the semantic Web service discovery is better than Chord.
