Withtherapiddevelopment ofeconomyinourcountryduringrecent years,energy source has become an important factor which restricts the sustainabledevelopment of the country. Coal has a pivotal position in the nationaleconomy. The 70% of total one-off energy source consumption comes fromcoal in the proportion of energy consumption in our country. However, duringthe rapid development of the coal industry, the safety issue alwaysaccompaniedaround.Andaboutmorethan50%oftheaccidentsareduetogas.Therefore, various gas monitoring system are installed in coalmines, the gasmonitoring manager can be aware of the change of gas thickness under thecoalmine in time through these systems, and take corresponding actions.However, there is a common defect in these systems that theycan not meet themobilityoftheusers.Inordertoresolvethisissue,manymonitoringsystemshavedevelopedthefunction of SMS alarm. This function enables users to receive SMS gas alarmwhen gas values exceed the preset values. So the systems achieve meet themobilityof the users. But this function are all have some shortcomings such asdepending on the specific gas monitoring system; the function is single; theamountofinformationis smallandnotintuitionist;userscan'tinteractwiththemonitoringsystembidirectionalandsoon.For the above reasons, we design and implement a short message alarmplatform in the gas monitoring of the coalmine. This platform focuses on theuniversal: using two transceivers to Sending and Receiving Short Messages(CMPP-ISMGandGSMSMSmodule);theplatformdefines anumberofbasictypes of information to provide more comprehensive information to users forexample Gas alarm information, alarm upgrade information and so on, at thesametimeusers can definenew messagetypes to meet theirneed; the platformallows other types of monitoring data access; the platform provides a flexible web management functions, administrators can configure and manage theplatform through Internet; through short message encoding, we increased theload carrying capacity of short messages; This paper designs and realizes amobile client to decode SMS and the client provides curves, tables, words andother kinds of views of the gas data; finally, users can send SMS to theplatform to customize gas monitoring data, for example, the number of alarmsduringamonth.Therolesoftheplatformcontaingasmonitoringsystemornetworksystem,SMSC or mobile gateway, platform managers and end-users. Gas monitoringsystem is responsible for providing data for the platform, it transmits the datato the platform; Mobile short message center or mobile gateway is responsiblefor sending short message between users and the platform; The platformmanagers are responsible for managing and configuring the platform, there aretwokindsofmanagers,oneiscommonmanager,andanotherissupermanager.End-users can receive short messages which sent by the platform and also cansubscribeshortmessagesfromtheplatform.Therolesoftheplatformcontaingasmonitoringsystemornetworksystem,SMSC or ISMG, platform managers and end-users. Gas monitoring system isresponsible for providing data for the platform, it transmits the data to theplatform; SMSC or ISMG is responsible for sending short message betweenusers and the platform; the platform managers are responsible for managingandconfiguringtheplatform; End-users can receiveshort messages which sentbytheplatformandalsocansubscribeshortmessages.The platform consists of three parts: the part of alarm, the part fo webmanagement and the mobile client which runs on the Windows Mobile 5.0operationsystem.Thepartofalarm realizesallthefunctionsrelatedtothegasalarm:receivemonitors data, send alarm messages, receive and respond to user requests fordata. This part is divided into three layers: Business layer, access layer, datalayer. The business layer is composed by three parts: transmission module, detectionmodule,dataprocessingmodule.Theaccesslayerprovidesinterfacesto operate database. All database accesses are through the access layer. Thedatelayerincludessometables,sometriggersandsomestoredprocedures.The part of Web uses the structure of B/S. This part consists of fourmodules: authority management module, platform configuration module,platform management module, alarm record management module. Theauthority Management Module distributes authorities to managers and itauthenticates managers when they login the platform. The managers useplatform configuration module to configure database information, alarm levelinformation and the way to send short messages. The platform managementmodule manages the alarm record, send record and enables users to sendreasonmessagesofthealarm.ThemobileclientcandecodetheShortMessages.Anddrawscurvesofthegas datawhichmakes users haveavisual viewabout thedata.Also, it supportsqueryhistoricalrecordsandcurrentalarminformation's.Thethreepartoftheplatformwas developedbydifferenttechnologies:thepart of alarm was based on VC++6.0. The part of Web management was basedon Visual Studio 2005 and used the technologies of ASP.NET 2.0+C#. Themobile client was based on eMbedded Visual C++4.0 and .NET CompactFramework2.0.At present, this platform has been used in Datong Coal Mine Group,Yangfangkou Coal Mine Group and other companies. They have highlyevaluatedthestabilityandthepracticalityoftheplatform.
