With the rapid development of Internet network, the need of network resource from consumer is increasing; Network scale, control mechanism and behavior characteristic are gradually complicated. The lack of comprehend and accurate description discharge to Internet characteristic, function characteristic, credibility and safety characteristic and network behavior model etc. These shortages have already influenced the development and the exploitation of Internet seriously. Network measurement and network behavior analysis is the foundation of the high performance agreement design, network equipments development, network programming and construction, network management and operation. And it is also the foundation of developing high-performance network applying. Network measurement and network behavior analysis can provide the scientific basis of scientific management of the Internet, effective control and the development and exploitation of Internet.The initial network measuremant system is mainly take concentrating type model as a lord. But concentration type network measuremant exposed its many shortages: mutual operability is bad under different environment, inconvenient to deploy the system, the short messages used for sending measurement command will seriously influence the accuracy of measurement result, the system isn't proper to be transplanted and expand.According to above drawbacks, get into 90's, module technology and distributed technology display the thriving source of vitality. the network measurement system just currently toward to distributed type of system structure.this paper makes an in-depth research on network measurement technology and its system structure improvement.this paper analyzed the distributed technology thsis of CORBA, raised the network measurement system model and soft system structure based on CORBA.in this system, adopt the passive measure method on the basis of SNMP to collect the traffic information, draw and analyse on network traffic collection station having CORBA module,then manage the data transported to upper network traffic administration implement by CORBA ORB, and realize the traffic data visualization function on the basis of consumer′s needs. According to the detail of system realization, discussed the module model, CORBA Name service and the event serves principle, the means to measure the usage rate of network bandwidth, the load balance of measure task, the timely push of the trap messages, visualization of traffic flows and so on.because development of the CORBA application is complex in practice environment, the approach for deploying and configuring this system is given.
