The Research Of Business Intelligence And Its Applications In Power System

Power communication resource is one of the most important utility in power system, and it is the important assurance of stable operation of power network. The gathering and collection of the power communication resource data, and extracting the useful information from the volume data using BI (Business Intelligence) related technologies play an important role in mastering the condition of power communication resource and conducting the scientific decision making. This paper makes some researches on BI related technologies. Under the background of Power Communication Resource Analysis System, the data warehouse and multi-dimension cubes of OLAP (On-Line Analysis Processing) are designed using BI tools and BI knowledge. Data transformation is completed using DTS, and multi-dimention data analysis and data display functions are implemented based on B/S framework. The construction of BI based Power Communication Resource Analysis System significantly improves the speed and the quality of data statistic, analysis and publishing, it also provides important foundations for scientific decision making on power communication resource management.
