Wireless sensor networks usually contain a lot of self-organization, distributed multi-hop wireless network nodes. Because of its network fast, flexible, free from the constraints of wired networks and can be widely used for emergency search and disaster relief, environmental monitoring, military applications, such as special environment, it has wide application potential. Wireless sensor networks will be the 21st century one of the most developed technique. This paper studies the energy-constrained nodes and the MAC layer low-power solutions. Cited and analyzed some common MAC layer protocol. Then introduced the S-MAC protocol, and implement it in a specific hardware platform, and testing. S-MAC uses three techniques to reduce energy consumption and support self-configuration. To reduce energy consumption in listening to an idle channel, no des periodically sleep. Neighboring nodes form virtual clusters to auto-synchronize on sleep schedules. Finally, S-MAC applies message passing to reduce contention latency for sensor-network applications that require store-and-forward processing as data moves through the network. Then, this paper studies the existing routing protocol for wireless sensor networks. According to the specific application, I designed a routing protocol MultiHopLQI. It uses the Minimum Cost Forwarding Algorithm and does some optimizations according to the specific application, include data upload, finding parent node, sending orders. Finally cite a specific example; it is a response to a temperature acquisition system. Use it to the above-mentioned MAC layer power management and routing protocol. To facilitate network management and network routing protocol design, we need a packet capture and analysis tools. So I designed a network protocol capturing Packet analysis tools.
