With the progress and development of information technology about sensor, microprocessor, advanced network and wireless communication, a new network system called Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) appeared which is proposed for some specific applications. Wireless sensor networks are systems that comprise large populations of wirelessly connected heterogeneous sensor nodes that are spatially distributed across a large field of interest. WSN has many application fields, such as industrial control, forest fire detection etc., and immediately turns into one of the focuses of information technology.Industrial application is one of wireless sensor network application fields. And how to apply the WSN technology with high reliability and usability into industrial control area is important research focus.Focus on a specific application of industrial control, this dissertation researches on wireless sensor network from industrial field application of view, and proposes a cluster-based routing network scheme that adds a cluster head as redundancy and allows multi-cluster transmission for the edge node in the cluster. For the problem of isolated node which can not communicate with any other cluster head, the corresponding measure is also provided. For this clustering network model, the corresponding design and development have been done to confirm the feasibility of this network model. This clustering routing network model has better connectivity, and works better than single-cluster head cluster with higher stability and longer lifetime. This model is suitable for industrial field application very well.First of all, this dissertation introduced the history, feature and the latest information of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), and analyses its application fields. And then in the 2nd chapter, the redundancy scheme of wireless sensor network is narrated from scheme proposing and principle analyses of view. In the 3rd and 4th chapters, the hardware design and software design of the redundancy network platform are researched and developed. The main part of the hardware designs are about communication circuit design and Reset circuit design of the sink node, processor and power supply unit design of the field node. The software designs are about system architecture design and kinds of mechanisms of redundancy network platform. At last,this dissertation summarizes the whole work and prospects the later work.
