Along with the development of the science and technology, the system that automatically infrared target recognition and tracking has become an extremely important part for the present and the future weapon system in military field. In this thesis, a method of real-time image measurement system based on DSP is designed and realized. The high speed digital processor TMS320C6416 is a kernel device in this system, combined with CPLD. This system not only meets the real time request but also have the function to automatically identify and track target.In the development of hardware system, the function expansibility and stability are emphasized greatly. The modularized structure is used in the design of hardware system. It not only reduces the complexity of design, but also benefits the group work.The main research and development are described as following.(1) Design hardware module project and circuit;(2) Finish the protracting of the whole principle chart and the facture of the PCB board ;(3) Compile inside program of the programmable logic device: using VHDL language to compile the program and emulating to realize the control of the whole circuit;(4) Participate in the debugging of hardware system.
