Fouling is found in all heat transfer processes, which causes great harm to the safe and economical working of heat-exchangers. These problems are mostly resulted from the poor quality of cooling water. Accordingly, the anti-fouling technique and equipment about cooling water are getting development. These anti-fouling techniques and equipments are different from each other in the principles and effects. The universe and authentic technique and on-line equipment for monitoring and evaluating anti-fouling effect are needed to meet the demand of the development of water disposal industry.However, researches on the monitoring and evaluating technique and equipment about anti-fouling effect of cooling water treatment are insufficient, which is adverse for users to choose effective anti-fouling agent and equipment and impedes the further development of water disposal industry. Based on the on-line fouling monitoring technique, a new on-line monitoring and evaluating system about anti-fouling efficiency of water treatment technology in this paper is developed. We apply the system developed in this paper to study several kinds of chemical anti-fouling agent. The experiments fully show the anti-fouling performance of agents. Meanwhile, the results of the above experiment also demonstrate the feasibility of the system used for evaluating anti-fouling effect.
