Researches And Development On The Security Architecture And Applications Of PWLAN Researches On Network Management System

Public wireless local area network (PWLAN) is an advanced wideband access technology, which combines the high efficiency and security of WLAN with those of the existed GSM/GPRS. As a part of national high technology project (i.e. the 863 progect)"researches on the security and application of the public wireless LAN", this dissertation mainly focuses on the network management technology.At the beginning, the dissertation discusses the network structure and related security technologies. Furthermore, the security architecture and properties of network management module of PWLAN are discribed.The network management architecture including manager, management agent, network management protocol, and management information database (MIB) are discussed in the second part. On the investigations of simple network management protocol (SNMP), access point (AP) and access controller (AC), the management of MIB is realized in PWLAN system.In the third part, we investigate and implement the local-based network management of AP and AC referring to the WLAN specification of China Unicom. Moreover, the operating procedure of the management system is also described.Finally, the architecture of web-based management (WBM) is designed. Such technologies as EJB, Servlet, JSP, JNI and Java Bean are exploited for the implementation of WBM system. This system fulfills topology structure searching and MIB configuration modules. Furthermore, the design structure, realization schemes and usages of each module are describled in details.
