With the development of micro-electronics & EDA technology and the various needs in application, it urges the development of integrate circuit to the system integration of high speed, high integrated and low-power. The SOC(system on chip) that integrated with embedded CPU, DSP, memory and others control function is developing as high speed. The project of SOPC(system on programmable chip) provided by Altera corporation makes FPGA more and more important in the design of embedded system. The CPU, memory, I/O interface, low power difference signal (LVDS), clock-data auto recover(CDR), phase locked logic(PLL) and other necessary model for system design can be integrated in a programmable logic device(PLD) by utilizing the project of SOPC , and this PLD is called programmable system on a chip.In this paper, a solution is presented to avoid the waste of big area spraying in industry which is based on Nios II embedded processor provided by Altera corporation. The more control system study on the solution is made by utilizing Nios II embedded technology and FPGA develop board. The study is mainly referred to hardware design of the system.During the hardware design of the spray control system some function blocks are completely designed such as: Nios II CPU and its peripheral equipment, choice of image sensor and its peripheral circuit, image collection model and the interface between LCD and CPU system ,and so on. The bottom layer software related with hardware has been done during co-design of embedded system. This designed system can realize the right output of image signal, the display of system initialization interface and the display of image.The designs of hardware and software are based on 1C6 develop board and Quartus II & Nios IDE provided by Altera corporation. The whole system design adequately embodies the predominance for increase design agility, shorten design time, reducing design cost.
