Development And Realization Of Campus Net Based Multimedia Electronic Classroom

Multimedia technology is the combination of computer and video technology. Multimedia technology have deep effect on teaching models, teaching contents, teaching methods, teaching ideas and teaching theories. By applying Multimedia technology into teaching, it can overcome the shortage of traditional teaching methods, widen the students'cognition. It is also vivid and active, so it improves the learning interest and initiative of students, and displays the function of students'self-cognition.Multimedia electronic classroom is a new kind of utility based on the multimedia technology. It combines the traditional theory class and experimental class, includes the teaching of teachers and the usage of modern media, and comprises questions and exercise of students and opportunities of practice. So it makes students to use their heads, mouths and hands, and the teacher can make specific teaching according to different students, which makes teaching contents and progress suitable for the accept ability of each student and reflects the principle:"teachers: the leader, students: the main body". Multimedia electronic classroom not only improves the performance of teaching system, but also strengthens the capture and control of information during the teaching.In this lecture, it integrates the construction of campus net in the author's campus, illustrates the development of multimedia electronic class in campus net. The frame of the multimedia electronic class is: to implement the construction of multimedia electronic class by installing multimedia electronic class plat system without adding hardware equipments, while the campus fund is limited, and net of the campus, the laboratory and the LAN has been established. By using advanced technology to design teaching system in class, collaboration learning system, electronic reading system and virtual internet browse system, the multimedia electronic class has the function of presentation, voice transfer, students speaking and electronic board.In the development of multimedia electronic class, visual c++ 6.0 owned by Microsoft Corporation is applied, with the technology of OOP, UML, COM and DirectX package, the technology of screen transfer, server transfer and transfer response regulation is also included in the system.
