Process control is an important part of automation technology and it's application in industrial process is extremely broad. With the apperance of Distributed Control System and Fieldbus Control System based on microprocessor, the function of process control in industrial technology has become more prominent. The ControlLogix control platform developped by Rockwell Company is based on NetLinx network system and integrates controller and communication unit in the modular mode. Rockwell software forcefully supports the ControlLogix platform, which makes it better applied in the industrial process control. Firstly this thesis simulates and controls a cascade system composed of a pressure loop and a temperature loop. Secondly this thesis applies Rcokwell software and the ControlLogix Platform to control a tank liquid level system of the THJ-2 Advanced Process Control System. Focus is laid on the following two aspects:1. Use RSLogix5000 software of Rockwell company to simulate a tank system, and control this system using cascade control algorithm: Apply communication software RSLinx to implement network configuration; Apply the programming software RSLogix5000 to implement control algorithm; Apply RSViewSE to develop monitoring software.
