Modern distance education is national and international developing mainstream in education. Network courseware is the soft rib of distance education, and its'quality will decide the success of network teaching by immediate influence. Network courseware has progressed from empirical and intuitional designing stage to rely on some special theory. The world has already realized that theory on teaching design is important to the studying and constructing of network courseware. Only by integrating software engineering with teaching designing theory can we make network courseware more scientific and serviceable. For now, however, there are universal phenomena of textbook-moving and textbook-sequence design thinking for network courseware in our country. Although our education is aware of these, and has been conducting research into fine network courseware in recent years, but never has come to breakthrough thoughts. The cause lies in the fact that there is a lack of new teaching designing theory to support the study of network courseware strongly. So it's very necessary and imperative to find a new teaching designing theory which has innovative ideas.In the climax of network courseware construction, the research of non-linear network courseware is hopeless. The one hand few employ himself studying the subject, the other hand many people have incorrect cognitive for the definition of non-linear network courseware. Many people have looked multistage hypertext-linking as a standard for defining non-linear network courseware, that is to say, as a result of misleading in awareness, non linear of physical structure is taken as the nature of non linear courseware. Actually, we should resort to some nonlinear theory to grasp the real nonlinear denotative of nonlinear courseware, further thinking students inner random factors, fostering students'ability to think, allowing each student to process at a place directly related to his or her learning demand.The main emphasis of this research lies in prompting a review of teaching design in chaos thinking light by the cognition of status quos for our network courseware resources and digging cause from teaching designing source. Chaos theory and chaos thinking on teaching design will be applied into the design and development stages of network courseware.
