Research On International Exchange And Cooperation Of Chinese Sports Core Journals

In order to have a understanding of the condition of the international exchange and cooperation of Chinese Sports Core Journals,Applying documentation, expert interviews, questionnaire and statistics, the international exchange and cooperation of 13 sports core journals are investigated and analyzed.The present situation of the international exchange of the 13 sports core journals shows as the follows:(1)Rather low level of the internationalization of the source journals;(2)Inefficient international exchange strength and applied means;(3)All of the Chinese sports core journals are applying the international compiling and editing standard and most of them are included by famous international retrieval organizations;(4) All of the Chinese sports core journals have applied E-publicationCurrently, none of the 13 sports core journals have carried on any international cooperation work in any forms yet.Meanwhile, the analysis shows the top six factors impacting Chinese sports core journals'international exchange and cooperation are successively periodical manager's development idea and strategy, Chinese corresponding laws and regulations and policies of running journals, academic quality of the journals, languages of the journals, the professional English editors and the editors'professional quality, feature orientation of the journals. The understanding of the relevant foreign publication environment is excluded the first ten.Aiming at the above situation, the following suggestions are given:(1) Chinese administration department should offer a good environment for the sports core journals in their international exchange and cooperation;(2) Sports core journals should strive for improving their competitive advantages;(3) Sports core journals should strength the understanding of foreign publication environment;(4) Available forms suitable for the international exchange and cooperation of the sports core journals must be proposed.
