Study On International Influence Of Sci-tech Journals Under Background Of Building First-Class Journals

In recent years,under the strong support of national policies and the active efforts of editors,Chinese English sci-tech journals have presented a trend of sustained and rapid development.The overall academic level and internationalization of sci-tech journals have gradually improved,and a number of excellent sci-tech journals have emerged.However,we should realize objectively that there is still a gap between Chinese English sci-tech journals and world-class journals,so we should continue to improve the international influence of sci-tech journals.Seven departments,including the China Association for Science and Technology,the Ministry of Education,the National Press and Publication Administration,jointly issued the Notice on Project Application for the Organization and Implementation of the Action Plan for Excellence in Chinese Sci-Tech Journals,selecting a group of authoritative and excellent English sci-tech journals.Under the background of the construction of first-class journals,the development of Chinese sci-tech journals encountered excellent development opportunities.How to further enhance the international influence and join the ranks of world-class journals is a problem that needs to be solved in the development of journals.In this paper,the first group of leading and key journals selected in the "Excellence Program" are selected as the research objects,by using the statistical analysis,analytic hierarchy process(AHP),bibliometry and other methods,to build an international impact evaluation system suitable for Chinese English sci-tech journals.This study mainly completes the following parts of work:(1)by referring to the existing evaluation system at home and abroad and the international general evaluation index,by using bibliometric method to determine the weight of evaluation index,the international impact evaluation system of sci-tech journals is constructed;(2)the international influence evaluation system is used to analyze the development status and trend of 51 English sci-tech journals in recent three years from three dimensions,including academic influence,internationalization degree and social media attention;(3)through the comparison of the construction practice of domestic and foreign journals,quantitative analysis of the differences in the international impact evaluation indexes of domestic and foreign journals is made to find out the problems in the development of Chinese English sci-tech journals in the process of internationalization;(4)according to the results of the comprehensive analysis,we find out the common problems encountered by Chinese sci-tech journals in the process of internationalization,and provide suggestions and measures for Chinese English sci-tech journals to build world-class journals.Based on the performance of the international influence comprehensive evaluation index of 51 target periodicals,the comparative analysis results of domestic and foreign periodicals,and the common problems existing in 15 sample periodicals,combined with relevant theoretical analysis and national development strategies,this paper proposes the following strategies to promote the development of periodicals:(1)At the level of academic influence,adjust the discipline layout,incubate the journal cluster by virtue of the discipline advantages,and form a first-class journal management mode;Integrate the internal resources of periodicals,jointly build the characteristic academic brand of periodicals,and maximize the utilization rate of periodical resources;Optimize the editorial team and continuously enhance the academic influence of the journal.(2)At the level of internationalization,improve the construction of Chinese and English websites of periodicals,realize collaborative communication at home and abroad,and enhance the exposure and influence of journal papers;To build a cross-departmental,cross-regional and cross-disciplinary journal characteristic publishing resource platform;Pay attention to the breadth and depth of periodical publicity,enhance the international display degree of periodical.(3)At the level of social media attention,new media channels are used to develop the journal multi-channel communication network and construct the journal multi-channel communication system;Knowledge reorganization is carried out according to the professional characteristics of periodicals,taking into account the professionalism and popularization of information transmission;Strengthen the sense of service and build a user-centered communication system.
