If the enterprise wants to keep an impregnable position in the fierce competition of the market now, the decision-maker must make fast, prompt and accurate decisions. This decision-making no longer only relies on decision-maker's subjective sensation and experience but the analysis of the past practical data of the enterprise. The decision-maker needs to carry on the analysis in different aspects. According to the results of the data analysis, they forecast the commercial tendency in future. If we want to have an effective analysis on these history data, the data must be memorized in a reasonable, organized way.This article discusses the way in memorizing the data and the organizational structure of the data in the disk. Simultaneously, in order to improve the efficiency of inquiry and analysis, we need to establish different kinds of indices for data files, carry on the granularity division to the multi-dimensional data from multi-dimensional database, the data division and the data processing to the dormancy data and so on. The granularity is the level of the subdivision or the synthesis degree of data unit in the database. The more minute data has a smaller granularity. If the granularity is bigger, the efficiency of inquiry will be higher and the memory space it takes will be smaller, but the inquiries it can complete are less. The data division is carried on the division aiming at the detail data in the database. The usual division standards are time division, geographical position division and so on. The size of the data quantity is the primary factor in the division. The dormancy data management refers to weeding out the data from the database which are useless to the inquiry and analysis in future. It can enhance the efficiency by reducing the scanning times.This article introduces two methods in memorizing the multi-dimensional data. One of the memorizing forms is the two-dimensional relational table. The other is by the multi-dimensional array. They are corresponding with ROLAP and MOLAP separately. The memorizing form of the relational table memorizes the multi-dimensional data with the dimension table and the fact table.
