Stabilization and track control techniques of line of sight (LOS) is an important application of the inertia technology. With the rapid development in recent years, these techniques have been widely used in the military area and the civil area such as public security, fire protection, surveillance and control of environment, etc. The primary contents of this paper include the research on the stabilization scheme of LOS, the selection of servo control system, the study on the stable control of LOS and the design and implementation of hardware and software of the control system, etc.First of all, the development of stabilization and track control techniques of LOS in the world is summarized. Then the principal of how the movement of carrier can be isolated with a LOS system is analyzed theoretically based on the actual situation of the car-borne equipment. Furthermore, adopting the digital servo control as its key technique, the general scheme design is outlined.Secondly, according to the requirements on actual situation and performance, a method using double closed-loop (the position closed-loop and the rate closed-loop) is adopted. At the same time, a feed-forward controller is designed to minish the track error on condition that the system is stable. And then, the structures and parameters of these controllers are analyzed in order to implement the compound control of LOS stabilization and manual command.Thirdly, a hardware system based on TI's micro-controller DSP is designed in order to meet the system's requirements on parameters of compute ability, control and interface, etc.Finally, the discretization design of continuous system is adopted to digitize the system, and the control algorithm based on DSP is advanced.
