Along with the technical development in information, the on-line UPS is applied more and more and broadly in telecommunication, medical treatment, finance and national defense etc., so higher requirements to UPS is put forward: fast dynamic response, high stability precision, high dependability. At the same time, complete network function is also added. Obviously, realization of these functions needs digital technique. High performance digital signal processor provides a good hardware platform for digital UPS. In order to resolve the problem existed in the process of UPS digitizing, this article thoroughly researched the system of digital UPS control technique, and the modulation design according to each control function is given.Firstly, the current condition of the UPS control technique is discussed, pointing out the research meaning between technical in the control of UPS. The localization of the control technique of digital UPS and the meaning of this research is pointing out. Secondly, according to the requirements of the performance and functions to the system of digital UPS, the total system control circuit based on TMS320LF2407A was designed, and the key control technique is deeply researched which including inverter control technique and phase lock technique. Thirdly, the system is modularized and designed; and according to the characteristic of the system, a new software phase lock algorithm is provided, the material realization method is given; software and hardware scheme of communication by using the SCI module in LF2407 are designed; other control modules are designed too. Fourthly, the performance of the circuit is tested.The design of the digital UPS control system is applied in low power single-phase on-line UPS. Software analysis and the testing result expresses that the software system can work stably, various control functions are reliably realized with the close cooperation of the software and hardware. The performance of the low power single-phase on-line digital UPS specimen all attain or better than standard requests.
