Teaching System Based On Web

Along with the rapid development of information technology, the burgeoning education means and methods begin to challenge the traditional education concept. Integrating multimedia technology, network technology and advanced education concept, computer network education had radically changed the mode of people's information intercommunion. It cannot but have been the important way to the modern education that expands the teaching activities on the net.This article focuses on the research of the teaching system which runs in campus network, mainly concerned with the following research:Analyzing and researching IP multicasting technology and streaming media technology, combining the two technologies and building a streaming media teaching system.Designing a multi-agent casting layout of the campus network, which reasonably distributes multimedia data and makes it possible to realize network multicasting in a larger scale.Designing and constructing streaming media server, investigating QoS problems such as the delayed-dither of streaming media, the media synchronization and multi-server loading of balance.Designing and realizing Video-on-demand system and living broadcast system. Video-on-demand system runs as non-real time asynchronous teaching mode. It is distributed by Media Services uncasing server. The characteristic of the system is to develop the teaching and learning activities by focusing on the students, so they will have much more flexible time to study, which is helpful for them to study and consolidate by themselves after class. The living broadcast system is real time synchronized teaching mode. By adopting the multicasting technology, the system realized a high network transmission quality and reduced the network load. Both the teacher and the students can communicate with each other at the same time, and the students will feel as if the teacher were giving the lecture to them face-to-face.Focusing the investigation on different media synchronization and realizing video-audio-PPT stream synchronization.
